The Philippine Law Journal

In December 2012, the Philippine Law Journal, the only state-funded law review in the Philippines, launched a project to achieve full digitization of all its printed articles. Two years later, the new website of the PLJ provides greater accessibility to its on-line resources with a user-friendly interface and state of the art search capabilities.

The PLJ website now allows easy access to all articles published in the journal, including an article I had written in 1987, as a senior in the U.P. College of Law. The article entitled "The Standards of a Child's Library: The Irrationality of the Obscenity Defense to Copyright Infringement" signified the beginning of my specialization in Intellectual Property Law. Although written over 25 years ago, it is heartening to note that the legal arguments remain sound and the excerpted quote from a decision penned by Justice Learned Hand is worth revisiting.
